Barwatt Superplexi 18 - Melbourne - South East $SOLD
Handwired by Barry Marie of Barwatt amplification Melbourne. Classic marshall tones in an 18 watt combo. It features a clean and overdrive channel. It drives a brand new Celestion Greenback. Cabinet is of birch ply and very solidly constructed. The wiring is superlative and you can see the love and the obsession of the man who built it. I have owned and loved this amp for several years but never really got to let it off the lead very often and it would love to get out there and kick a few arses.

The clean channel has hi and lo inputs, tone, volume and negative feedback loop defeat when the tone control is pulled up. The clean side delivers smooth shimmering highs with a nice mid range punch. It starts to break up into a smooth compressed organic overdrive after about four on the sweep.There is a bright edge if want to find it.
The gain chanel features hi and lo inputs. Controls are bass, treble, gain and volume. This channel is where the Marshall magic lies and as you work the volume, gain offset, glorious compressed marshal style overdrive of varying degrees becomes apparent.
For 18 watts this is a very loud amp and will easily keep up with a drummer unless he is intent on the destruction of your ears. It works well as a club combo and in recording. If you play in smaller pubs and clubs around town and need a raunchy marshall-esque combo that will not piss off the manager, the singer, damage peoples ears, or blow the back wall out of the room this amp will be ideal
